Hi, I’m the Rockford Riddler. I have created riddle hunt games for families and groups to enjoy in downtown Rockford. It combines the physical activity of a treasure hunt with the mental activity of an escape room. There are elements that even the youngest detectives can help with. Clues may also involve multiple senses: hearing, smell, sight, and touch may be used in some fashion.
To play, you’ll purchase a packet at Rockford Riddler. Inside the packet, there are five clue pages, a pen, and a map. The top portion of each clue page is a location clue; the bottom portion of the page is a number clue. Figure out the location clue first. Each location provides a tool or information you will use to figure out the number clue. Once you figure out all five number clues, you are then able to unlock the safe for a small prize, which is back at Rockford Riddler.
You do not have to complete the hunt within a certain time, but the fastest times will be posted online and have bragging rights – at least until someone beats them!
